My name is Mitchell Tuckness, and I am the Technical Services Administrator for Lea County Communication Authority.
I have over 30 years of computer, networking, and IT-related experience.
My mission/purpose is that the Office of Information Technology will provide the highest quality technology-based services to facilitate the LCCA mission cost-effectively.
To meet this mission, I will:
Provide practical technology support for audio/visual, computer, multimedia, voice, video, security, networking, and web-based applications and services.
Promote and facilitate the effective integration of technology into the Center's primary mission through planning, programming, training, consulting, and other support activities.
Develop, enhance, and manage the Center's enterprise networks to provide high speed, transparency, and highly functional connectivity among all information resources.
Develop and maintain highly effective, reliable, secure, and innovative information systems to support instructional and administrative functions.
Facilitate the collection, storage, security, and integrity of electronic data while ensuring appropriate access.
Promote new uses of information technology within the Center through supporting exploratory and innovative applications.
Provide leadership for effective strategic and tactical planning in the use of technology.
Provide fast & reliable access to all information systems.
In addition to my IT-related responsibilities, I also handle County Addressing and GIS/911 data management. This includes address management and close communication with the USPS to ensure that addresses are correct. Dispatchers and emergency responders can locate callers quickly and efficiently in an emergency.
