We are seeking motivated individuals that have an interest in firefighting and exciting, unique experiences while serving your community!

Lea County Volunteer Fire Departments are composed of volunteers who perform fire suppression and other related emergency services for local jurisdictions. Volunteer Fire Departments most often cover a large area and respond to calls involving motor vehicle accidents, structure fires, wildfires, and industrial emergencies. According to the National Fire Protection Association, 65% of firefighters in the United States were members of Volunteer Fire Departments in 2020. Knowles, Maljamar, and Monument are currently seeking new members that are interested in serving our growing communities.
