We Need Your Assistance
Lea County, in coordination with its participating municipal jurisdictions, is updating its Multi‐Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan will identify local policies and actions for reducing risk and future losses from natural hazards such as floods, winter storms, tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, and hurricanes. This survey provides an opportunity for you to share your opinions and participate in the mitigation planning process. The information you provide will help us better understand your hazard concerns and can lead to mitigation activities that help lessen the impacts of future disasters. Participation in this survey is voluntary and none of the information you provide will be attributed to you directly. The survey doesn't take long to fill out and you can skip questions if necessary. Lea County greatly appreciates your participation and thanks you for providing them with important information from you to better help the community for future generations to come.
Below is the link for the updated Lea County Hazard Mitigation Plan. Please review the plan. If you have any comments or concerns, please Email Cassie Corley by January 6th.
