LEA COUNTY, NM, SHERIFF'S DEPUTIES. NM-certified officers preferred. Applicants meeting all other qualifications considered. Must have high school diploma or GED, no criminal convictions, good driving record, stable past work history, and be able to pass post-offer alcohol/drug screen, polygraph, psychological profile and physical exam. Hiring process includes written test and interview with board of review. $37,570 starting for NM-certified. 20-year retirement; outstanding benefits.
