Departmental Mission: The Bureau of Elections is responsible for the County voter registration file. It is our duty to encourage and educate the public about registering to vote. Departmental Goals: To insure voter registration is easy and convenient for all of our county voters. We are also responsible for the conduct of all school district, hospital district, junior college, and county wide, state and federal election and to make sure that they held in accordance with state and federal statutes. Departmental Strategy: We believe in strengthening the team player attitude, along with developing ownership and cross training principles we can provide a less stressful environment for our employees during the registration and voting process. Departmental Objectives: County needs: The office of the Clerk will continue to conduct all elections in accordance with State and Federal statutes while encouraging and educating the public about the importance of registering to vote. Employee needs: To continue to train personnel via workshops and seminars so they may continue to provide effective and efficient service to the citizens of Lea County.
