Mission: The five-member Board of Commissioners is the governing body of Lea County. With the assistance of the elected officials, and the County Manager, the Board of Commissioners takes actions necessary to fully discharge its duties as authorized by law in order to enhance, increase, and enrich the individual freedoms and opportunities of all Lea County Citizens. The Board of Commissioners is committed to achieving full financial stability and establishing a solid foundation for improved services while looking toward the future.
Goals: It is the goal of the Board of Commissioners to continue solving regional public policy issues in a cost effective manner. It is important to the Board that the County government continues to be efficient and responsive to the citizens of Lea County and their concerns.
