TO VOTE ABSENTEE BY MAIL

1. Obtain Application from County Clerk

Call 575-396-8618 or toll free 866-254-2735 for an application form or send a written request to P.O. Box 1507, Lovington, NM 88260.

2. Complete the application form and return it to the County Clerk

An Absentee Ballot will be mailed to you the same day the Clerk receives the completed application. Clerks may begin mailing ballots out to voters who have applied by October 7, 2008.

3. Vote, sign and return the ballot to the County Clerk's office before 7:00 pm, November 4, 2008.

ATTENTION ALL VOTERS

No matter where of how you vote in New Mexico, you will be required to identify yourself at the polls by one of the following means:

• a current and valid photo I, utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, student ID or other government document

• a verbal or written statement by you stating your name, year of birth and registered address.
